Providence Lifestyle Group $300 million Over 50s lifestyle resort in Two Rocks – one of the largest developments of its type in WA – has been approved.
The Metropolitan Outer Development Assessment Panel on Thursday approved the 360-home Oceanside Lifestyle Resort by Providence Lifestyle’s Group, which will include a country club, four pickleball courts, a cinema, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, an indoor bowling alley, a gym, wellness caverns, bars, a hobby shed, caravan and boat parking and a bowling green.
The complex will sit on a 150,000sqm site at 75 and 99 Damepattie Drive, about 400 metres from the beach – injecting a massive investment into the fringe suburb.
Providence Lifestyle Group Managing Director John Wood said construction of the gated community, the Group’s sixth and biggest lifestyle resort development in WA to date, would further invigorate Two Rocks.
Mr Wood said significant investment was underway in the area.
“With strong projected population growth, rapidly rising property prices and the state-of-the-art Two Rocks Village shopping and dining hub on the way, Two Rocks is on the move – but retains that holiday feel, making it an idyllic downsizing destination,” he said
It will include one, two and three-bedroom homes featuring solar panels and battery storage, with the two-storey Oceanside Lifestyle Resort to become a centrepoint of the development.
The Ocean Lodge will have panoramic ocean views.
Civil works at the Resort, which also includes a country club, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, indoor bowling alley, 4 pickleball courts, a gym, cinema, wellness cavern, bars, a hobby shed, caravan and boat parking, and a bowling green, are tipped to begin mid this year.
“As with our other communities, Oceanside Lifestyle Resort is designed for active, healthy ageing and deliberately promotes social connection, which is vital for wellbeing,” said Mr Wood.
Providence’s flagship project is the 244-home Piara Waters Lifestyle Resort, which was last year recognised for its excellence in creating a vibrant community by the Urban Development Institute awards.
